Zack Thurman is a 2018 C/MIF with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Carlsbad, CA who attends Sage Creek HS. Thurman has a lean frame and build with room to fill out. Hits from an upright square stance, line drive swing plane with good extension through baseball, showed late bat speed. Mid field to pull approach, got barrel to ball consistently. With added strength should develop more gap to gap power. Defensively, primary catcher, compact arm action with a quick arm action, exchange and release. Gains ground on throws. Arm was loose with good whipping action. Outstanding Student.
