Aiden Calvert is a 2020 OF/ with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Chula Vista, CA who attends Mater Dei Catholic. Primary outfielder with an athletic frame and a really good first step. Approaches the ball and closes the gap when coming to get to the baseball. Throws from a high over the top arm slot, getting some backspin out of the hand to create some carry to bases. Very good athlete showing off excellent speed in game action with an infield single and multiple stolen bases, also ran a 6.70 sixty-yard dash. Starts from an upright and slightly open stance at the plate. Has a loose path to contact and a line drive barrel plane, flashes bat speed when on time. Works through the middle and toward the opposite field in his approach, and is at his best when hitting to and through the opposite gap. Good student.
