Cody Crain is a 2020 LHP/ with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Hoover, AL who attends Hoover. Medium and young frame, skinny. Only pitched at the event, lefthanded pitcher, starts windup with a side step up to a high leg lift, takes arm back to a compact arm action up to a high ¾ arm slot, coils on his back leg at balance point, low effort delivery creating easy velocity, fluid delivery that will improve arm strength with additional lower half drive down the mound, lands closed off while having to work over his from side. Fastball topped out at 74 mph with riding life to armside while traveling to the plate, mixes in a curveball with developing spin, worked primarily to armside with both of his offerings. Good student.
