Kyle Benedict is a 2019 OF/C, 2B with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Lutz, FL who attends Carrollwood Day. Medium frame with lanky, slender present build; good projection remaining on body. Ran 60 yard dash in 6.89 seconds. Sets up to hit from even-based stance with good balance throughout. Simple leg up/leg down trigger, did a very good job working to all fields. Compact, line drive stroke with very good feel for the barrel, repeated swing very well and made consistent line drive contact to all fields. Worked out defensively in outfield and behind the plate. Does a good job moving in on the ball in the OF, fields off to side and maintains balance, maintains momentum through the ball and showed solid arm strength, clocked up to 83 MPH. High set behind the plate, longer stride out from semi-crouched position, got mistimed in transfer, showed solid arm strength, clocked up to 73 MPH. Very good student.
