Tyler Walker is a 2018 SS/C, IF, OF with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Greenacres, FL who attends Wellington HS. Shorter overall frame with a very lean build and quality athleticism throughout. Ran a 60-yard dash in 7.14 seconds. Primary shortstop with good instincts and reactions at the position. Short steps to the ball with clean funnels and hands. Maintains well on the run while being able to throw from multiple arm slots and can control his body well. Righthanded hitter with a wide base and high hand set with a high back elbow. Short swing and quick to the ball with a direct path to contact. Elastic hand load with a lot of line drive contact generated. Line drive swing plane and turns the barrel over well while extended out in front. Short stride to contact and stays in control well. High contact-oriented approach with power coming as he continues to add strength. Great student.
