2022 Sunshine Gulf Coast Showcase
Spence Coffman is a 2022 SS/RHP, OF with a 6-1 174 lb. frame from Corinth, MS who attends Tishomingo County. Showed plus speed with a 6.45 second sixty. Primary short stop with a lean athletic build. Receives the ball out front with soft hands. Gathers at the mid line with a longer shuffle as he gains ground into the throws showing big time arm strength across the diamond at 90 mph. On the mound the arm strength once again stands out with good direction to the delivery working down the mound with good effort in the lower half. The fastball gets some arm side life at 84-89 mph from a lower three-quarters arm slot. Mixed in a changeup with much of the same life as the fastball with a good change of pace in the low to mid 70's. Right-handed hitter, swings with real intent showing above average bat speed with a mostly linear bat path showcasing pop to the pull side during batting practice as well as picking up extra base hits in game action while using the entire field. Good student. Named to the Sunshine Gulf Coast Top Prospect List. Verbal commitment to the Southeastern Louisiana.
