Garrett Smith is a 2018 OF/ with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Franklin, TN who attends Brentwood Academy. Medium-Large frame with athletic present build; good projection on body moving forward. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.15 seconds. Sets up to hit from wide-based stance with high hands and back elbow, leg lift trigger into stride, very quick hands to and through the zone with line drive swing plane and solid bat speed. Shows good strength in swing, gets to excellent launch position and shows ability to drive the ball into the air with good jump off the barrel. Worked out defensively in the outfield, moves well to the ball with good balance and tempo, fields cleanly out front and works through the ball. Long arm stroke through the back into upright release, made accurate throws back to the infield clocked up to 74 MPH.
