Nolan Smith Robinson is a 2019 RHP/OF with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Los Angeles, CA who attends Susan Miller Dorsey. Medium frame with long limbs and a lean build. Frame projects to support additional size with strength. Ran a 7.19 sixty-yard dash. Primary right handed pitcher with a clean side step to leg lift delivery. Compact actions at take back and released from a long, lose three-quarters slot. Lands in line with the plate and carried momentum through finish well. Fastball flashed some downward tilt through the zone in the mid to upper 70's, topped at 79 miles per hour. Curveball had 11/5 shape with solid spin and good depth in the low 70's. Also flashed a changeup offering in the low 70's as well, tends to slow arm speed. Also worked out defensively from the outfield showing smooth paced, deliberate footwork while closing to the baseball. Small crow hop after pick up and released from a high three-quarters slot. Throws produced accurate, on line carry to the bag topping at 81 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a narrow, upright stance and simple front side trigger. Quick, compact path to contact and utilized a line drive barrel plane through extension. Primarily worked to the middle of the field but showed the hand speed to deliver barrel out front and worked to pull side as well. Generated some backspin off the barrel that produced carry to the gap when squared. Very good student as well.
