Nolan Rowan is a 2020 RHP/3B, OF with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Branchville, NJ who attends High Point Regional High School. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a young, projectable build with room to fill throughout. Ran a 5.13 40-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, begins delivery with a short side step moving into a high leg lift, deliberate tempo throughout with a full arm action through the backside getting to a high three-quarters release point. Can continue to incorporate lower half in drive down the mound; showed nice command of his fastball and topped out at 80 mph, flashed running life to arm side and able to induce ground ball contact. Kept curveball down and showed depth to the bottom of the zone at 68 mph. Shows quickness to footwork moving towards the ball in the infield, shows range and fields the ball out front with clean glove work. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide and open stance in the box, high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Bar at start with hands; linear path through the zone with comfort working middle and pull side parts of the field, can work all fields. Gets to front side early in swing but creates consistent contact. Very good student.
