Parker McDonough is a 2019 OF/LHP with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Katy, TX who attends Obra D. Tompkins HS. Lean and athletic build with present size and a ton of room on the frame to add continued strength. Good athleticism with some twitch and ran a 6.84 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder with a full arm action through the back and smooth exchanges to throwing hand. Aggressive actions with good carry on throws and arm strength that will only improve as he continues to develop physically. Lefthanded hitter with a slightly open, balanced stance. Elastic load and fluidity to swing. Wore out the pull side gap and showed the ability to hit line drives to all fields. Linear lower half shift into contact and gets hips through contact well. Good present bat speed with some pop when squared and has a simple leg lift trigger into contact. Up to 82 mph on the mound with a quick delivery featuring a leg lift just above the belt. Long arm action through the back with an over the top arm slot. Generates good momentum to the plate and gets on top of the ball well to create downhill plane. Curveball showed sweeping action. Named to the 2017 South Underclass Showcase Top Prospect List. Good student.
