Krystphr Downey-Simms is a 2020 OF/LHP with a 5-6 125 lb. frame from Simpsonville, SC who attends Mauldin HS. Recorded a 7.20 60-yard dash. Younger look with ample time to grow and add strength. Primary outfielder with clean throwing mechanics; arm strength played well. Throws with some effort with a shorter stride down the mound. Fastball worked 70-73 mph and showed occasional run and cut. Two-pitch mix that included a couple of curveballs but mostly attacked hitters with the fastball. Aggressive swing at the plate with solid contact to the pull side. Looking to drive the ball with a solid overall swing and path. Great student.
