Ben Sacks is a 2018 RHP/ with a 6-2 136 lb. frame from Smithtown, NY who attends Kings Park High School. Very tall, lean, slender build, athletic frame, tremendous room to fill, and ability to add strength moving forward. Primary right handed pitcher, showed a long arm action, short arm circle, first base side of rubber start, upbeat delivery, crossfire element, and threw from a high three quarter arm slot. Fielded position well, good balance at landing, stiff front leg landing, and good extension down the mound. Utilized both a two-seam and four-seam grip to his fastball. Good arm side life to two-seam pitch working 74-77 mph with true action on four-seamer. Attacked hitters and willing to challenge inside. Also showed curveball with 11/5 shape, tight spin, and willingness to throw it early in count. Secondary infielder, fields ball out in front, developing footwork, and raw arm strength. At the plate, started slightly open, high hand set close to body, and a leg lift timing mechanism. Deep hand load at start, looks to work opposite field, raw bat speed, and a longer hand path. Will continue to develop at the plate with additional strength.
