Shea Morrison is a 2020 LHP/OF/1B with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Newalla, OK who attends Harrah HS. Long and lanky pitcher's build, broad shoulders and room to get stronger. Rotational upper body delivery, front side pulls down hard and early, mid 3/4's to 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 78 mph, has hard late tailing action when down in the zone, tends to flatten out in the middle of the zone. Curveball had tight spin at times and tunneled it well with his fastball, short and tight break. 7.24 runner, showed good range and athleticism at first base, better raw arm strength in the field. Left handed hitter, hits from a spread no stride approach with a big barrel wrap, has a smooth swing with some present bat speed, gets the barrel in the zone on time and can drive the ball to right centerfield. Good all around athlete who will take a step forward on the mound with delivery adjustments. Good student.
