Tyler Struck is a 2019 C with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Orland Park, IL who attends Providence Catholic HS. Medium frame with good strength to build. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.69 seconds. Sets up to hit from semi-squatted stance with even base, shifts weight well into swing and stays online with hips to contact point. Does a good job creating leverage off of front side, smooth hands throughout swing with quality bat speed, smoothness throughout swing overall, does a very good job generating backspin and showed legitimate power to the pull side. Worked out defensively behind the plate. Receives well out front, has quickness to actions though will rush at times, some balance to footwork with good gain out and around the plate, arm strength clocked up to 72 mph with pop times recorded as low as 2.06 seconds. Very good student; named to 2017 Great Lakes Showcase Top Prospect List.
