Brayden Angle is a 2017 OF/LHP with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Ponca City, OK who attends Ponca City High School. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with long limbs and room to fill throughout body. Quick-twitch muscle, posted a 6.74 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, moves well to the ball on feet, short crow hop to gain momentum and can involve additional lower half, full and quick arm action through the back, shows carry out of the hand with an extra step at release, stays on line through transfer. Also pitched, medium leg lift up to belt, works to a three-quarters arm slot with nice extension out front. Lands slightly closed with front side and works across body, does a nice job to create plane to fastball that touched 81 mph with short running and sinking action. Short slider at 70 mph, comes out of the hand well with proper spin. Lefthanded hitter, begins with an open stance and weight starts on back side. Simple load and gets closed moving into contact, incorporates hands well to swing with a line drive swing plane, has a feel for mechanics and shows ability to release. Shows occasional lift to swing plane with a high finish, contact approach, projects with additional physical strength. Good student.
