Aaron Dolney is a 2019 C with a 6-3 210 lb. frame from Plymouth, MI who attends Detroit Country Day. Large frame with extremely physical, strong body. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.28 seconds. Hits from wide-based stance, big stride, brings lower half well and generates torque in hips, will tend to drift onto front side, flatter bat path at present, has big bat speed and strength but could stand to get the ball into the air more, smoothness to stroke with high intent, big offensive upside. Worked out behind the plate, receives deep, hyperactive actions with good athleticism, explodes out of crouch, shows big time arm strength, clocked up to 83 mph. Also pitched, throws from high three quarters arm slot with good plane when on time, fastball worked 82-86 mph with flashes of very heavy life, flashed curveball with good depth though the arm slowed down, got around one fastball and showed a dynamic cutter. Potential two way upside, verbally committed to Nebraska. Named to 2018 Great Lakes Indoor Top Prospect List.
