Zach Conrad is a 2019 C/RHP with a 5-8 170 lb. frame from Southaven, MS who attends Evangelical Christian HS. Compact build with comes present strength. 7.90 runner, has some quickness behind the plate defensively both in his feet and hands, shows some arm strength and makes accurate throws, tends to stand up to throw slowing down his release. Right handed hitter, swings hard with some strength in his swing, uphill swing path, best contact is gap to gap with a more level swing path, has the strength to develop as a hitter with adjustments. Also pitched, easy and clean delivery with good direction to the plate, compact catcher's arm action from a high 3/4's slot. Fastball topped out at 78 mph with good cutting action. Slider showed good 11/5 depth and some feel in the strike zone. Change up had nice fading action and good arm speed. Three very usable pitches he threw for strikes, solid secondary pitcher. Very good student.
