Del Corte is a 2020 C/IF with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from Fairhope, AL who attends Bayside Academy. Medium, athletic frame with slender present build; good room to fill out remaining. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.75 seconds. Sets up to hit from spread-based stance with high hands and back elbow, quick toe tap trigger, approach works back through the middle on line drive swing plane. Will drift to front side at times. Uphill launch angle at times, has intent to drive the ball into the air, showed best power to the pull field. Worked out defensively behind the plate, side-set leaning back a bit at reception, soft glove hand when receiving, stays down through explosion out into throw down mechanics, elongated arm stroke with developing arm strength, solid accuracy down to 2nd base with 65 MPH velocity and pop time as low as 2.28 seconds. Very good student.
