Isaac Guijarro is a 2019 3B/RHP, 1B with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Northridge, CA who attends Chaminade College Preparatory. Large frame with long limbs and a lean build. Frame projects to support additional size with strength. Ran a 7.39 sixty-yard dash. Primary third baseman with sound footwork while traveling to and surrounding the baseball. Clean glove actions while funneling the baseball and working through transition. Flashed good range to each side and flashed the ability to throw with accuracy while on the run. Primarily released from a compact three-quarters slot generating softer carry the to bag. Right handed hitter with an upright, even stance and simple front side trigger. Stays balanced throughout swing with rotational lower half actions to contact. Loose, extended hand path to contact with a line drive plane through extension. Looks to connect with baseball out front with smooth, easy actions. Primarily utilized a line drive approach throughout batting practice while working to the middle of the field. Also pitched showed a smooth paced, side step to medium leg lift delivery. Stays tall on back side at gather and works to the plate with drop and drive actions. Medium arm circle at separation and released from a compact three-quarters arm slot. Fastball came out of hand well with slight running action, topped at 72 miles per hour. Curveball had 11/5 shape with loose spin and some depth. Tends to slow arm speed slightly with a changeup offering that flashed some fade with sink. Tools will continue to develop with maturity and repetition. Very good student as well.
