Tyler Daley is a 2023 LHP/1B, OF with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Bradbury, CA who attends Damien High School. Large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and present strength proportioned well throughout frame, additional room to grow moving forward. Ran a 7.59 60-yard dash. Primary lefthanded pitcher, simple and compact delivery, side step moving into a higher leg lift up past belt, shows balance throughout and lands slightly closed with strike foot. Compact arm action through the back, on line and hides it well while working to an over-the-top release point; can continue to incorporate additional lower half drive down the mound. Fastball topped out at 78 mph, works on top of the ball well and shows solid command within the zone, can work to either side and shows comfort working in on hitters. Curveball shows 12-6 shape from similar high slot, nice spin up to 67 mph; flashed a changeup at 70 mph, played off the fastball well. Shows quickness to transfer in the outfield, sound actions and shows accuracy and carry on throws, clean footwork through release, present strength to intended bag. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide and spread stance in the box; shifts weight well through moving into contact. Simple trigger or timing, creates bat speed through the zone and shows leverage out front at the point of contact. Short swing overall, works mostly linear through the zone, shows some jump when squared off the barrel. Very good student. Named to 14u National Top Prospect List.
