Caleb Herd is a 2022 C/2B, OF with a 5-7 135 lb. frame from Vail, AZ who attends Cienega HS. Recorded a 7.80 second 60-yard dash time. Young frame with a lean present build and tons of room and time to add strength to the frame. Primary catcher who gets out in front with a quick transfer and release. Quick lower half through the ball and had arm strength recorded up to 69 mph. Secondary outfielder with clean funnels and transfers to the throwing hand. Has feel for the position and handles hops well. Can adjust well and made accurate throws into the infield. Righthanded hitter with a high hand set and high back elbow. Leg lift trigger with a shorter swing and loads off the back side well. Patient approach and looks to hit the ball out in front. Mostly up the middle contact and will improve with additional strength.
