2021 Southeast Top Prospect Games
Danny Baez is a 2022 SS/2B, OF with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Oviedo, FL who attends Oviedo. Large frame with a lean, athletic type build showing plenty of fast twitch type muscle. Ran a 6.70 second sixty yard dash. Primary Shortstop, quick first step as he proved to have easy lateral range. Clean gather out front and works into a quick transfer. Released with a fluid arm stroke as he threw it 84 mph with accuracy. Feel for the position showing and projects here going forward. Left-Handed Hitter, narrow and open to start. Strides out and lands in a balanced position. Creates lag and stays inside the baseball before getting extended as he drives it on a line. Feel for the bat head present as he found the barrel with every cut. Smoked a triple into the left-center gap in game and showed off the speed on the paths. Outstanding Student. Named to Southeast Top Prospect Games Top Prospect List.

Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
