Joseph Cardona is a 2017 C/3B/1B with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Arecibo, PR who attends Vocacional Antonio Lucchetti. Medium athletic build with some present strength. Simple mechanics and footwork behind the plate, repeats his release well and makes accurate throws, has a quick and clean exchange, pretty polished defensive actions, 2.00 best pop in drills, 2.06 in between innings, 2.15 in game, can use lower half more in gaining ground and momentum on his throws. Left handed hitter, bent knee stance, upper body rotational swing, has some lift and uphill plane, will flash some strength at impact, just as in his catching can use his lower half more to generate bat speed.
