Caleb Warta is a 2021 RHP/SS with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Mt Juliet, TN who attends Home School. Medium athletic build, lots of physical projection. Low hand delivery up to a high 3/4's arm slot, hides the ball well in back of his body, arm is compact and fast, repeats his mechanics well for a sophomore and projects very good command. Fastball topped out at 90 mph, mostly straight, ball gets on hitters well, showed the ability to spot up his fastball to the corners. Has good feel for a slurve type curveball, can pull the string on it or throw it with more power. Developing feel for a change up but took the pitch seriously and tried it frequently. High level pitching prospect who should keep improving. 7.28 runner, showed nice athletic ability on defense in the middle infield, has quick feet and a quick and compact arm, charges the ball well. Right handed hitter, hits from an upright stance with a high hand load, short line drive swing, good lower half swing mechanics, pull side approach. Named to the National Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
