Lucas Andrews-Conte is a 2018 SS/RHP with a 5-8 175 lb. frame from Alliston, ON who attends Banting Memorial HS. Medium build with a some athleticism in the frame. Recorded a 7.47 60-yard dash time. Meticulous and deliberate actions in the infield with some arm strength and good upper half actions. Ability to make plays across the diamond with the glove and arm. Throws from a three-quarter arm slot with compact arm action on the mound. Maintained velocity throughout the outing and worked well in the lower third of the strike zone to generate weak contact. Attacked hitters inside and showed a strong two-pitch mix throughout. The fastball sat from 72-74 mph and topped out at 76 mph. The curveball showed 12/6 shape with good depth to the pitch. Narrow stance at the plate with a low hand set and a line drive approach at the plate. Line drive swing plane with a loose swing and a high leg lift for timing. Good student.
