Matt Rose is a 2022 SS/2B with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Clearwater, FL who attends Calvary Christian. Medium frame with a lean and very athletic build. Ran a 6.66 second 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, works around the infield well with good intent to his actions, funnels well out front and releases clean with solid arm strength clocked up to 83 mph across. Righthanded hitter, sets up balanced and in line with a simple trigger; very quiet process with a fluid and compact swing. Shows great accuracy with the barrel as he stays short with the hands generating good bat speed while engaging his lower half well to create the strength needed to impact the ball hard. Outstanding student. Verbal commitment to South Florida. Named to 2021 Sunshine East Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
