2024 WWBA Workout Showcase (July 5)
Rylan Baker is a 2026 OF/LHP with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Fernandina, FL who attends The Bolles. Solid athletic frame with life to his actions, dense muscularity and time to continue to add overall physicality. Ran the 60 yard dash in an impressive 6.47 seconds. Primary position outfielder, working through the ball with urgency and creating good inline momentum. Well refined fundamental actions, emerging glove actions and working to a clean transfer. Full arm action working through a 3/4 arm slot creating throws up to 87 mph back to the infield. LHH working from a wide base with bent knee stance and flat barrel over the shoulder to start. Short stride, getting hands into the slot quickly and works inside the ball but showed the ability to drop the barrel on pitches down and in to launch to the pull side. Quick bat and strong hands with an easy operation in the box. Outstanding student as well.
