Kyle Woods is a 2019 SS/RHP/3B with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Yukon, OK who attends Mount Saint Mary HS. Medium athletic build with good present strength. Right handed hitter, hits from an open stance with a pull back leg load, limited shift into contact, has a short swing and gets the barrel into the zone quickly, swings hard and uses his strength to impact the ball hard, battled hard against good pitcher's and competed well, line drive approach and will hit to all fields. Third base tools defensively, has a good first step and good footwork, makes accurate throws from a good base. Also pitched, slow paced delivery with a mid 3/4's to 3/4's arm slot, rotational delivery that is pretty well timed. Fastball topped out at 78 mph, gets good running action down in the zone, drops his curveball in nicely for strikes with some depth, threw strikes. Good student.
