Tyler Ellis is a 2026 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Kingsland, GA who attends Trinity Christian Academy. Big and strong athletic build. Primary left handed pitcher, starts with a high leg raise, slow to fast mechanics, accelerates hard to the plate. Fastball worked in the mid-80's, gets some sink and run at its lower velocities, straightens out at the higher velos. Flashed a nice firm change up. Gets good spin on an upper 60's curveball, best curveballs were at the higher velocity range, tends to slow his arm on the pitch at times. Will continue to improve on the mound as he develops more consistency in his delivery. 7.34 runner in the sixty. Left handed hitter, hits from an open stance, tends to stay open and pull off his front side early, has some impact on pitches on the inside half, swings hard with an aggressive approach. Showed his athleticism very well in the outfield, gets good jumps and has plenty of range, very good arm strength with some accuracy. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
