2024 Preseason HS Prospect Showcase
Isaac Abalo is a 2024 SS/MIF, OF, UT with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Orlando, FL who attends Boone. Tall, lean frame with good physical projection. Primary middle infielder, waits back on grounders, two hand funnel out front, fundamentally sound actions with fluidity to the lower half movements. Has arm strength across the diamond, recorded throws up to 81 mph. Compact arm action, developing accuracy around the bag. Right-handed hitter, wide base with high hands in the stance and a slightly open front side. Gets the barrel out front with a downhill swing path. Creates space in a tight window, tight turns into contact with good barrel speed. Secondary right-handed pitcher, long side step into a belt high leg lift, three-quarter slot and gets good extension down the slope. Fastball was around the zone, up to 79 mph (1777 RPM). Curveball showed 11-5 shape with late depth, up to 67 mph (1987 RPM). Great student.
