2023 WWBA Summer Workout Showcase (July 12)
Damarcus Broughton is a 2026 OF/RHP, 1B, 3B, IF with a 6-4 195 lb. frame from Semmes, AL who attends Mary G Montgomery. Primary outfielder with a large frame and higher waist showing room to project more strength onto the build. Ran a 7.03 second sixty. Waits back on the ball in the outfield fielding it on the side as he gathers into the throws with an extra step before the release. Showed some projectable arm strength with accurate throws doing a nice job of getting on top of the ball and releasing out front. Takes a measured approach on the infield receiving the ball out front, bending at the waist. Made accurate throws with a short arm stroke and an ability to change the slot on the move. Right-handed hitter starts with a narrow base and upright stance. Very quite set up with a simple trigger allowing the hand speed to play with the barrel getting to contact out front, impacting the ball to the middle of the field with loud flashes. Very good student.
