Julio Garcia is a 2022 RHP/1B, 3B, MIF with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Baytown, TX who attends Sterling HS. Recorded an 8.35 second 60-yard dash time. Large frame with some strength to be added throughout. Primary righthanded pitcher with a three-quarters slot and varies timing to mess with hitters. High leg kick and throws a lot of strikes. Effort at release and uses his body well through release. Very good changeup that sinks and fades underneath bats. Slider has tight break and gets swings and misses on it in the dirt. Heavy fastball that topped out at 82 mph with good sinking action low in the zone. Arm strength plays well from secondary position of infield. Righthanded hitter with a high hand set, high back elbow, and a hanging leg lift trigger. Slightly open stance with a longer swing path. Has some strength to the pull side when squared. Good student.
