Robert Love is a 2022 RHP/OF with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Hermosa Beach, CA who attends Mira Costa. Slender build with some athleticism. High intent delivery working exclusively from the stretch with a belt high leg lift, staying flexed at gather going to drop and drive actions down the mound. Has a compact and loose arm circle, throwing from a mid three-quarters slot with good arm speed. Upper-70s fastball, top 79 miles per hour, with some natural cut to the glove side at times. Shows good feel for a sweeping curveball with 10-to-4 shape, has good depth and some loose spin that will create some swings and misses as it develops. Shows great confidence in the pitch throwing it more than the fastball at times. Secondary outfielder that shows some athletic actions at the position. Works from an upright, even stance at the plate with a toe tap trigger. Has a compact hand load and direct path to the baseball with a line drive barrel plane. Flashed some barrel control, working to all fields. Good student.
