Payton Walker is a 2027 3B/RHP with a 6-2 225 lb. frame from Buford, GA who attends Buford. Features a physical broad shouldered build with present strength. Ran a 7.66 60-yd dash. In the INF, showed CINF actions. Gets square to the baseball with avg. footspeed and lateral quickness. Hands work soft at reception with a clean funnel to the west. Decent body control throughout his GB round. Used a shorter arm action that got off accurate throws across with some quality strength for his level. At the plate, he sits in an even base and uses a simple lower half forward move. Hands takeback and create some good separation getting into a strong launch. Noticeable strength and quickness to the hands but with some effort to the overall swing. Throws the barrel on an uphill path while staying behind it. Was pullside a majority of his round where he showed present power to that side. On the mound, he side steps into a belt high knee tuck. Arm works shorter in the back working more elbow lead out the glove where it works a tad high. More rotational and uptempo east/west delivery where he lands slightly closed into landing and releases to a lower 3/4 slot. His fastball showed cutting action in the upper 70s which he filled up the zone with. Mixed in a developing breaking ball that had mostly 11-4 type shape in the lower 60s.
