Nicholas Willard is a 2020 RHP/2B with a 6-0 135 lb. frame from Yorktown, VA who attends York HS. Recorded a 7.25 second 60-yard dash. Lengthy frame with a lean and physically projectable build. Primary righthanded pitcher with a long arm action that featured a soft plunge in the back. Turn step into leg lift above the belt while coiling his hands back behind the rubber. Lands online on a stiff front leg. Works to both sides well and flashes potential with splitter/changeup. Low effort delivery and fields positions well. Gets some push off the backside down the rubber. Curveball showed 10/4 shape and sweeping, slurve-like break to the pitch. Secondary second baseman with deliberate actions and some glove talent. Ball comes out of the hand cleanly and moves laterally well. Righthanded hitter with a spread open stance. High hand set with high back elbow and swinging with intent. Level swing plane with hands close to the body and the ability to drive the ball to the opposite field. Good student.
