Edwin Melendez is a 2022 C/1B with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Kissimmee, FL who attends Osceola. Physical and athletic build, good strength with more to come over the next few years. 7.85 runner in the sixty. Shows good arm strength behind the plate, transfer from glove to hand can get long but it's a short and quick arm action with good carry and low, accurate throws, will continue to improve as he works on his lower half agility and flexibility. Right handed hitter, hits from a high back elbow start with wrapped barrel in back, has quick hands and can create barrel which, shows big strength off the barrel when he gets squared up, present bat speed, has the strength and bat speed to continue improving at the plate as he works to make more consistent contact. Good student.
