Ayden Phillips is a 2025 3B/RHP/1B with a 6-1 215 lb. frame from Live Oak, FL who attends Columbia. Extra big and strong build for a 2025 with broad shoulders and lots of lower half strength. Right handed hitter, hits from a very high hand start, open lower half with a back tap load, lots of pre-swing timing elements that he can simplify moving forward, long and strong swing with lots of extension and big power and lift when he gets the barrel out on time, plus power for his age that's only going to grow as he gets older, key will be getting to it consistently. 7.52 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman on defense, over the top throwing action with some carry, showed a good ability to lower his slot on the move, also plays some first base and could outgrow third and move over there with his bat. Took a turn on the mound, medium length high 3/4's arm slot, lands a bit closed out front, some effort on release. Low 80's fastball topped out at 83 mph with some arm side running life in the zone. Slider was his go to pitch with some depth and lateness, showed better feel for landing his slider than his fastball. Also flashed a developing change up. Will be interesting to watch his bat develop. Good student. Named to the Sunshine Southeast Showcase Top Prospect List.
