2025 PG High School All State Select Championship (26-27 Grads)
David Hansen is a 2027 C/RHP/3B with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Port St. Lucie, FL who attends Abeka Academy. Big and strong athletic build. Left handed hitter, sets up in an open stance with a high hand load and a well timed leg raise load, easy tension free swing, gets out front well and clears his lower half, creates back spin and carry to the pull side, easy swing that projects very well. 8.29 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, sets up in a narrow stance behind the plate, comes out of his crouch well with solid footwork and direction into his throws, made accurate throws with good carry. Took a turn on the mound, has a fast paced delivery with a short side step start and quick leg raise, short stride out front, arm works well but is hard to time up consistently due to his rushing, high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 81 mph, tended to pitch up with his fastball. Big downer curveball played well off the fastball and change eye levels effectively. Excellent student.
