James Forgy is a 2026 C/RHP/1B with a 6-0 182 lb. frame from Overland Park, KS who attends St. Thomas Aquinas. Well proportioned athletic look with some present strength and more to come. Right handed hitter, hits from an upright narrow stance with a short leg raise trigger and stride, has a simple and direct swing with good hand use, works gap to gap and creates some lift in his swing, type of swing that works in games and is projectable. 6.91 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, sets up side saddle, step by step process in his footwork and exchange/release, longer arm action with some developing carry on his throws, made accurate throws. Also pitched, has a compact arm action with a high 3/4's arm slot and good extension out front, well controlled delivery he repeated well, filled up the strike zone. Fastball topped out at 85 mph with some cutting action and was effective working it to the glove side. Slider was a nice pitch with late biting action and good power. Good student.
