Logan Hastings is a 2024 RHP/3B, SS with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Huntingtown, MD who attends Huntingtown. Compact, athletic looking frame with room to add strength and physically mature. Recorded a 7.53 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary right-handed pitcher that worked from an abbreviated windup with slightly coiled leg lift and athleticism down the slope. Repeatable operation with consistent release point and plenty of present arm speed. Fastball worked in the mid-80s for the majority of his outing with hop (2300 RPMS) and life through the strike zone. Accelerates upon foot strike and works into a whippy three-quarters arm slot. Showed an advanced aptitude to spin the baseball with his slider regularly working the 2900 RPM range, while showing the ability to kill spin on his well-replicated changeup. More velocity coming with additional strength gains, high upside. Secondary infielder with a fundamentally sound defensive skill set. Works downhill through the baseball, exhibits proper approach angels and footwork throughout the fielding process. Plenty of athleticism to project on and recorded accurate throws up to 84 mph across the diamond during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from an upright, even base with a high hand set, high back elbow and controlled hover trigger. Middle-of-the field approach with compact stroke and plenty of present bat speed. Displayed ability to impact the baseball with authority from gap-to-gap and projects for more power as he physically. matures. Athletic overall prospect with huge upside on the mound and plenty of offensive prowess moving forward. Excellent Student. Named to the 2023 Mid-Atlantic Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
