Dylan Messina is a 2026 SS/3B with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Cortez, FL who attends IMG Academy. Medium athletic build with plenty of compact strength. 6.96 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, has very good footwork and works through the ball smoothly with very good balance, has a fast and strong arm with good carry and plus accuracy, very polished defender. Switch-hitter at the plate, hits from a wide and slightly open base from the left side, has bat speed and barrel accuracy with loose hands through contact, hard middle of the field to pull side contact. Hits more narrow on the right side with a shorter and more direct swing, ball comes off the barrel hard. Pretty equal bat speed and hitting ability from both sides. Interesting ceiling as a switch-hitting middle infielder with some juice in his bat. Elite level student, verbal commitment to Pennsylvania. Named to the PG World Showcase Top Prospect List.
