Matt Fox is a 2023 RHP/2B, 3B, SS, MIF with a 6-4 190 lb. frame from Huntington Beach, CA who attends Huntington Beach. Extra-large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, high waist with plenty of room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 6.94 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, quick turn step moving into delivery, deliberate tempo to delivery, long arm action through the back, works online coming down the mound and towards the plate. Worked around the zone with three pitches and showed comfort pitching backwards and setting hitters up, pitched to contact throughout. Fastball topped out at 82 mph, short and subtle life to arm side, shows the ability to get to glove side as well. Lands curveball with comfort, short shape to the pitch and will go to it with first pitch, up to 70 mph; changeup shows diving life to it out of the hand up to 74 mph. Shorter arm action on throws across the diamond, some bend at waist, shows quickness to footwork with an extra step through the ball, showed accuracy on to first base with throws, gets it out of glove well. Right-handed hitter, begins with a tall and upright stance in the box, high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Long swing path through the zone, works on a linear swing path, gets the barrel out front and creates contact to the middle and pull side parts of the field, bat speed will continue to develop with added physical strength.
