Ryan Ness is a 2022 OF/RHP, IF with a 5-8 130 lb. frame from Mechanicsburg, PA who attends Trinity. Recorded a 5.09 second 40-yd dash time. Smaller frame with plenty of room to physically mature. Primary outfielder with a fundamentally sound defensive skill set, smooth actions and developing arm strength. Shows ability to anticipate the ball well, gaining momentum into fielding position fairly well through release. Slightly offline arm action that recorded throws up to 78 mph. Secondary infielder with quick feet, smooth hands and feel for the position. Exhibits good footwork, range and ability to throw from multiple arm slots across the diamond. Took a turn on the mound, where he showed ability to throw strikes from a lower three-quarters slot and some arm side run. Sat low-to-mid 70s during the outing with a simple operation. Right-handed hitter with a slightly open stance, high hand set and rotational lower half. Showed consistent bat-to-ball skills using an inside swing path and barrel accuracy. Uses whole field approach with his hands ability to make consistent adjustments to where it's pitched. Will continue to improve with added strength and maturity. Good Student.
