Landon Tate is a 2023 SS/IF with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Bishop, GA who attends Oconee County. Lean young athletic build with plenty of room to get stronger. 7.02 runner in the sixty showed a quick first step and plenty of aggressiveness on the bases. Has athletic actions through the ball in the middle infield on defense, showed range to the middle of the field and good feel for his glove. Right handed hitter, hits from an open stance with good lower half mechanics into his swing, has good rhythm and timing into his swing, swing his short and strong with good bat speed and a consistent feel for the barrel, showed the ability to shoot the gaps and drive the ball. Projectable young athlete who will continue to improve as he gets stronger. Good student.
