Ty Hawkins is a 2025 OF/RHP, 3B with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from San Antonio, TX who attends Johnson. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and some present strength, additional room to fill moving forward. Ran a 6.98 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, moves well on feet, sound actions on the approach and gets low, works through the ball, shows accuracy on throws with some carry and kept them low. Sound actions in the infield as well, confidence with the glove and plays loose, comes through the ball, quick and short arm action on throws across diamond. Also pitched, big side step at start with a leg lift up to belt, gets tall on backside, low effort release with an extended three-quarters slot. Strides open with lower half coming down the mound, shorter arm action through back, fastball topped out at 76 mph with short sinking life and mixed a curveball up to 68 mph, tends to slow arm at release, short depth to it when on top. Right-handed hitter, begins with a spread and slightly open stance with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Gets closed moving into contact, shows some quickness to hands and jump off of the barrel when squared. Stays short to the ball, quick through the zone with some strength in hands, nice tools to improve upon. Named to the 14u South Top Prospect List.
