Cason Davenport is a 2023 SS/RHP, 2B, OF with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Fort Worth, TX who attends Lake Country Christian. Primary SS, strong physical build moves very well with smooth infield actions. Glove plays clean and showed good sync in his footwork with range to both sides. Secondary right-handed pitcher, utilizes his athletic upside well on the mound. Fastball filled up the zone topping out at 80 with a loose breaking ball flashing some depth to it. He maintain rhythm utilizing an uptempo approach. RIght-handed hitter, has excellent feel for the barrel with quick hands. Simple set up and plane was effective establishing a solid contact tool. Consistent mechanics found the barrel frequently. Good pieces in the swing to build on, projects well at the next level with added strength. Good student.
