Aden Johnson is a 2023 SS/IF with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Defiance, MO who attends Francis Howell. Recorded a 7.13 second sixty yard dash time. Medium and athletic frame with a slender/projectable build, has plenty of room to fill moving forward. Primary shortstop, hands work well out in front to both sides and has good lateral quickness. Showed active feet that synced up well with his actions, utilized clean transfers, overall solid defensive skillset to build from. Right-handed hitter with a square and balanced stance, utilizes a low hand and back elbow set with a small, hover leg lift trigger. Momentum-driven swing, has a lot of moving parts to time up and will drift over his front side at times. Has present bat speed with some barrel lag and a flat bat path through the zone. Has some things to like moving forward as he continues to improve the swing and get comfortable with his timing. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
