Brayden Dowd is a 2023 OF/LHP with a 5-10 178 lb. frame from Clarkston, MI who attends Brother Rice. He has a good frame and an athletic build with present strength and room to add more yet. Ran the sixty in 6.75 seconds. Primary outfielder that showed athletic movements approaching the ball. He is experienced in the outfield, fielding the ball out front and throwing with a live arm and made consistently accurate throws. Secondary left-handed pitcher that has a high leg kick that creates torque and uses dip-and-drive back leg mechanics. He uses and medium arm action and fires from a high 3/4 arm slot. He does a nice job of repeating his motion and hides the ball well. His fastball has arm side run. His slider has sweeping, horizontal break. He did a nice job of mixing his pitches and keeping hitters off balance throughout his outing. Left-handed hitter that starts with an even base in an upright position with high hands and a high back elbow. He has a small leg lift trigger and a rotational swing. He does a nice job of firing his hips and showed good bat speed through the zone. He has the ability to impact the baseball, especially to the pull side. Named to the Great Lakes Indoor Showcase (Sunday) Top Prospect List. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
