Brodey McConnico is a 2025 SS/2B/UT with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Argyle, TX, who attends Argyle. Medium frame and build, with some athleticism and strength to pair. Ran a 7.40 60-yard dash. A primary middle infielder who had direct footwork working to the baseball, with above-average glove actions. Fields the ball out in front with a clean funnel into his throws. He threw 78 mph across the diamond, adjusting arm slots as necessary. Good round of infield reps, showing off a corner build with the ability to move laterally and funnel well in to clean throws across. A right-handed hitter with higher-set hands that were tight to the body in an even base. He had a balanced stroke with controlled actions working through the swing. Compact stoke, adjusting as needed to stay on the barrel. Showed a shorter stride working through it. He added a hit in-game. Also took to the mound as a right-handed pitcher. Worked with a leg lift up around the belt with some coil. He turns the front side as he coils before working downhill from a lower three-quarters arm slot with a slingy release. It's a long and loose arm stroke. Pitched with pace on the mound and threw strikes in his outing. The fastball was up to 76 mph and had some arm-side run to it and sink to it. Heavy fastball at times, and he showed the pitch often. Showed an 11/5 shaped curveball in the mix as well, locating in the lower third and below the zone looking for whiffs. Worked quick, induced weak contact, and got it done. He's athletic off the mound, fielding his position well. He threw 2 scoreless innings, pitched around a few hits, and struck out 2 opposing hitters. Great student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
