Robert Brown III is a 2025 RHP/1B, 3B with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from North Andover, MA who attends Phillips Academy. Large, square shouldered frame with some present strength and additional room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.91 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, simple side step at start of delivery, medium length stride down the mound and can incorporate additional lower half into drive; works to a high three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 81 mph, showed heavy life down in the zone and ability to work to both halves of theCurveball plate, gets it under hands of right-handed hitters well. Curveball shows 11-5 shape and shows some comfort with the pitch, up to 68 mph and feel for pitch developed well; throws changeup for strikes up to 66 mph. Fields the ball out front in the infield, picks it well and shows athleticism to actions, on top of throws from a higher slot, balanced actions on the move. Right-handed hitter, begins with an open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; upper body dominant swing, leg lift trigger for timing. Keeps hands inside the ball, long swing path and works on a linear plane, tends to open front side early at times, flashes lift out front with some strength when squared. Named to Mid South Top Prospect List.
